Our Mission

The Institute for Research and
Theory Methodologies trains, mentors, supports, and connects students, faculty,
and researchers worldwide in qualitative, multi-method, mixed-method, and
grounded theory research across disciplines to cultivate methodological
expertise and research excellence.

Our Goals

Our goal is to support the development of methodological expertise and to promote lifelong learning. We do this by providing accessible, high-quality training and mentoring to students, faculty, and researchers worldwide and across disciplines. We support and build communities of researchers who engage in rigorous research that addresses complex issues facing society, organizations, and individuals today.
